The 61st Venice Film Festival opened on Wednesday. And what better way to inaugurate it than with a film backed with Oscar winners!
The Terminal, directed by Oscar winner (Saving Private Ryan) Steven Spielberg and starring Oscar winner (best actor, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump) Tom Hanks and Oscar winner (best supporting actress, Chicago) Catherine Zeta-Jones, opened the event.
The film is about a traveller (Hanks) who gets stuck in an airport for 15 years, and is inspired from a real life story about a man stranded at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport.
