I play a doctor in Vaastu Shastra. There is a reason this. People who believe in science have a hard time believing in ghosts and the supernatural. But the film is about how the powers make you believe when they want to. It is a very scary movie. We were petrified while shooting for it!

The shooting was fun because [director] Saurab Narang and [cinematographer] Sachin are newcomers. They shot the film with great passion. Every single shot and scene was done with perfection.

The film is shot entirely in the corner-most area of Mumbai's Film City. And we were shooting in the nights. So you can imagine the scene -- just trees and darkness all around! And in the middle of all that was this haunted house!

We had a 25-day climax in the rain. So we were drenched for eight hours everyday, for 25 nights in a row!

Plenty of strange things happened during the shooting. A mirror fell off the wall in Chakravarthi's room. Had he not bent down a second before to pick up something from the floor, it would have slammed him on the head. And there was no movement earlier that triggered the mirror falling either. Even the nail was still there. The mirror just snapped and fell.

Then, we heard some strange noises during the shoot. We thought people were teasing us. But it started getting spooky when our mikes started catching the frequencies from the nearby sets. We would hear these whispers. This always adds to your psyche because we're already a doing scary film. Every sound that you hear, you wonder, 'where did that come from?'

But when we saw the film, we were proud of it. Finally, India has come of age where we can make a horror film with the same amount of class and quality as we make a love story.
