Did you know? Gadar's climax required a Pakistani helicopter to chase Sunny Deol and his screen family running on a moving train, and then crash into the train. To show the crash, the makers had to shoot the chopper behind a huge blue curtain. In a freak incident, the curtain got entangled, and the chopper almost crashed. At the last minute, the curtain was freed.

In another incident, Sunny was to escape from Pakistan to India in a train in the film. Since the shooting was in Bikaner, close to Pakistan border, the film crew had to take special permission from the Indian Air Force every day before the shoot. On the third day, due to a technical snag, the film crew could not contact IAF base.

So the helicopter pilot drove up to the base to inform them. But when he got there, he was immediately arrested. The pilot had forgotten to remove his Pakistan Air Force uniform!
