Johnny Depp, often referred to as the sexiest man in the world, just cranked his irresistibility factor by another couple of notches: the man is also modest.
In London for the premiere of Neverland, where Depp plays Peter Pan creator J M Barrie, he smiled reticently for the cameras and meekly obliged autograph hunting fans.
Flanked by the stunning Vanessa Paradis, the French actress/singer and his girlfriend, Depp was quoted by ABC News as saying: 'I wouldn't say I'm a heartthrob. I just have a very weird job.'
Now visibly sedate at 41, Depp seems to have entirely forsaken his wilder Viper Room times of youth. Having garnered massive acting plaudits over the last few years, he has been considered one of Hollywood's finest.
Last year saw him at his peak, with an Oscar nomination for his magnificent role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean.
This year he accompanies similar speculation with his Neverland role, but he downplayed such talk: 'I can't say that occupies my every thought or every moment. That's not my job to think about that, but if people want to say that, that is really sweet.'
The film also stars Kate Winslet, showing off her recently acquired svelte avatar at the premiere, and Dustin Hoffman, who once played Captain Hook in Steven Spielberg's retelling of the children's classic, Hook.
