The premiere party, held down the road at London's exclusive Tantra nightclub, was an even more lavish meeting of East and West. The stars were in full attendance, obviously -- despite a dazzling Ash and a bearded Henderson, the British were thoroughly charmed by Nitin Ganatra ('utterly hilarious,' declared Sky News), and a striking green-clad Indira Varma (remember her? The star of Mira Nair's Kamasutra?)

The Brit-Asian community turned out obediently, with the booming music playing host to stars from the smash-hit soap Eastenders; Channel 4's Bollywood Star judge Bobby Friction and Bollywood DJs Raj and Pablo. They all rubbed shoulders with assorted natives, including Elton John's boyfriend David Furnish, Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon and an irrepressible Jemima Rooper.

A superbly exotic mish-mash of East and West: Perfectly appropriate.

Actors Indira Varma and Nitin Chandra Ganatra.
