"I respect Abbas-Mastan because whenever they have tried to experiment on any topic, they have brought me into the picture. They gave me roles in which people can see something within, which I myself had not seen. So I am very grateful to them; it's been a great experience and I will always remember it.

I'm not into production: I don't want to become a producer or a director, and so I'm very content. It can be a nightmare. Fourteen of my films flopped back-to-back, you never know what will actually click at the box office!

I think my martial arts experience has helped me a lot. I remember, in Bangkok, we had lots of street combat and Thai boxing -- we would lose so many times but every time we'd prepare again with the hope to win the next time. There was an opponent who defeated me seven times but I won the eighth fight.

So these experiences have been a great help. They put things in perspective. My career has seen a lot of ups and downs, but the last 3 to 4 years have been very nice. Every day has been a learning experience."
