What are your fans like?

I love them all. It's wonderful to have fans and people who wait for hours to see you arrive and shoot. They come for autographs after a scene. I am the kind of an actor who loves her fans; I'll give everybody an autograph. But if I am doing a scene, I cannot break away. It's very important for me to be consistent. If you think of signing an autograph, you are out of character.

When we were shooting for Kal Ho Naa Ho in New York, which was luckily in sync sound, we used to always shoot inside. Whenever we were outside, whatever interaction we had with the fans was very nice.

It's just the love. I don't think any other actor from any other country gets so much love as an Indian actor. I can challenge it hands down. I swear on that.

What kind of fan mail do you get?

Every type! I get fan mails asking me to marry them. (Laughs) Asking me if other actresses should get married. (Giggles) One said 'I am your biggest fan, but can you please tell that actress not to get married?' (Laughs). I'm like, 'uh, okay!' Some ask my opinion on career choices, while some write love letters in blood.
