Bye Bye Friends. Say hello to Raymond.
The popular TV sitcom on CBS Everybody Loves Raymond will return to complete its ninth and final season, reports People magazine.
Like Friends, the final season of Raymond will feature fewer episodes: 16 instead of the usual 22.
Raymond star Ray Romano and creator and producer Phil Rosenthal had earlier spoken of calling it a day. But when the writers came up with some interesting new ideas, Rosenthal decided to give it a go.
The 46 year-old Romano, who plays a sports columnist in the series, reportedly earns a salary of between $1.7 million and $2 million per episode.
