Off the sets, the five of us -- Ash, Namrata, Sonali, Meghna and I – were like family. We would sit around and chat. Since we were away from home for so long, we would chat about our lives. We were never bitchy. There was good energy.

When Sonali’s schedule got over and she was leaving for India, we had a little farewell party for her. We went out for dinner together. [Sonali plays Chanda, Lalita’s best friend]

Namrata and Sonali treated me like a bachcha [kid]. We had a party when we wrapped up the shoot too, and saw clips from the film.

On our Sundays off, we would go shopping. Namrata and Sonali love shopping. We would go to Oxford Street,

Portobello Market or watch theatre or movies.

Aishwarya did not go out often with us because she was very busy. She was working much more than we did because she’s the protagonist in the film. If we worked five days, she worked six. But once, even she went out with the girls. I could not go that day. They went to see Lion King.

Los Angeles was the quickest schedule.

I never felt there were too many actresses and I would get lost. The film is not about Peeya; it is about Lakhi. If I don’t get enough screen time, that’s ego talk. And none of that [ego] is needed in the film. Peeya with some of the cast members of Bride And Prejudice.
