Sanjay Gupta's Kaante may not have been a hit in India. But the film worked wonders for Mahesh Manjrekar, who was the best performer in the multi-starrer -- the film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Kumar Gaurav, and Lucky Ali.
Manjrekar is also busy with his directorial career, which includes It Rained That Night (an English version of Astitva, starring Sushmita Sen) and Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav. The latter is a comedy about four people: Padmashree (Dia Mirza), Laloo (Suniel Shetty), Prasad (Sanjay Dutt) and Yadav (Manjrekar).
Run will see the comeback of Ayesha Jhulka, who was last seen in Mehul Kumar's Kohram (1999).
