In 2003, Iglesias played a bit role as Lorenzo in Robert Rodriguez’s Once Upon A Time In Mexico, the third instalment of the El Mariachi legend. Despite its cast of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Johnny Depp, the movie was no big hit. The New York Times described it as ‘a noisy, unholy mess, with moments of wit and surprise that ultimately make its brutal tedium all the more disappointing.’
