The six-day plan -- Cheh din ladki -- was superb. It was totally Shah Rukh and Saif. The Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 sequences were great. I had people announcing days for purely technical reasons.

I wanted to put those Charlie Chaplin-kind show cards with those frilly things on the side saying day 1. That meant I would have to digitise the entire sequence. That would have cost a lot of money. So it was a way to save money.

Most people have not realised it but the beginning of the six-day plan is when Saif says, "Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to La la land." He is looking straight into the camera and saying it. It's like an announcement to the audience. And Saif loved it. The moment you tell Saif to play to the gallery, he loves it. He did it wonderfully.
