Penned by Karan Johar and directed by his assistant, Nikhil Advani, the film met with good, if not spectacular, response at the box-office. At the awards too, Kal Ho Naa Ho enjoyed its share of the glory with popular contenders like Koi... Mil Gaya and Munnabhai MBBS.
