These days, Roberts acts when and where she wants. She took off nearly a year after making Mona Lisa Smile, which gave her some personal time to spend with her second husband, cameraman Daniel Moder.

Roberts worked with Moder on Mona Lisa Smile, although she admits kissing onscreen love interest Dominic West (who plays a flirtatious professor at the college), in front of her husband was 'weird'.

Roberts will next star in Mike Nichols' sexy drama Closer. Yet despite her seemingly busy schedule, Roberts feels relaxed and unhurried professionally. "If I slowed down my career much more it would be at a complete standstill," she says, laughing. "I just want what I want, which is what I've done for the last number of years. That's been nice."
