The brown-eyed beauty first caught the attention of critics and audiences 15 years ago as a teenager in the coming-of-age comedy Mystic Pizza. Steel Magnolias followed, and then Pretty Woman, the top-grossing film of 1990, which cemented Roberts' relationship with moviegoers as America's Sweetheart. (She earned Academy Award nominations for both films.)

Since then, she's gone on to star in a wide array of films including Flatliners, Sleeping With The Enemy, Something To Talk About, Runaway Bride, Stepmom and Notting Hill. After earning three Oscar nominations, she finally took home the statue in 2001 for her convincing performance as a crusading paralegal in Erin Brockovich.

She has subsequently concentrated on a wide variety of roles and genres, co-starring opposite Brad Pitt in the heist comedy The Mexican, playing an assistant to a stuck-up movie star in America's Sweethearts, and playing the female lead in the all-star Ocean's Eleven.

She also had a small but pivotal role in the little seen Chuck Barris biopic Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, which she did as a favour to her Ocean's Eleven costar and pal George Clooney, who directed the film.
