The show will be sold as a mainstream American show, Pimlott has said, just the way Evita or Miss Saigon was offered to American audiences.

Tickets went on sale for Bombay Dreams in the last week of February following a full-page colour ad in The New York Times that was followed by a half-page colour ad and a smaller black and white ad.

The show premieres on March 29 at Broadway Theatre, one of the finest and largest (about 1,750 seats) in New York, where Miss Saigon ran for over a decade. Bombay Dreams will open officially on April 29.
