A look at the major headlines this week:

* It's not Hindi, but Bengali, for Madhuri Dixit, post-marriage-and-child! The actress has signed Buddhadev Dasgupta's Bengali film, to be produced by Jhamu Sughand. Sughand has collaborated with Bengali star Prosenjit to produce six films.

* After Main Hoon Na, Farah Khan will direct Shah Rukh Khan again. This time, it will be for two ad films for automobile manufacturer Hyundai and home appliances giant Videocon.

* Ketan Mehta's The Rising, starring Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Amisha Patel, will be divided into three episodes and is likely to be five hours long! It will have two follow-ups of 100 minutes each. The first will focus on Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar and the second on Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi.

* Ram Gopal Varma's latest film will be based on the forest brigand Veerappan and will be called Let's Catch Veerappan. It will star Rajpal Yadav and Vijay Raaz. Earlier, his Jungle was also loosely inspired by the sandalwood smuggler.
