The female lead will be played by the young actress Sneha. It will be her first film opposite Haasan, though they starred in Pammal K Sambhandam. She did not play his heroine, but was paired with Abbas. Sneha plays a doctor in Vasool Raja MBBS.

Sneha has the biggest hit of 2004 in her kitty -- Autograph, directed by Cheran. The film is such a huge hit all over Tamil Nadu that the ethnic dresses wore by the actress have become a big draw among college girls, especially the white salwar-kameez with the colourful tie-and-dye dupatta.

Vasool Raja MBBS may catapult Sneha into the big league just as Abhirami was, thanks to Veerumandi.

For the first time, music composer Bharadwaj will compose music for a Haasan film. The lyrics are by Vairamuthu. Vasool Raja MBBS is produced by Gemini Film Circuits.

Vasool Raja MBBS went on the floors on May 14 in Chennai. It is expected to be released in August.
