Weren't her parents appalled to see their daughter's daring bare-it-all avatar?
"They [my parents and brother] are the only set of people I seek permission from," she says. "It was slightly difficult to explain the entire scene to them, but they were very supportive. They understood that I am doing just another character or role. Kissing somebody on screen or wearing skimpy clothes does not make you that kind of person in real life. They understood that. I was just fulfilling the requirements of my character. That's it."
Neha didn't seek the company of her friends or family on the sets to feel comfortable either. "They were always there for me, when I needed them. But on the sets, I would usually avoid any sort of distraction," says the Leo.
There were strong rumours of a topless scene in Julie. But Neha shrugs them off, saying, "We just laughed it off. It was my director's mistake. He, by chance, used the wrong word. He was misquoted. That's where it all started. My family knows personally that there isn't anything like that in the film anyway."
