Unlike most beauty pageant winners who head straight for Bollywood to start their acting careers, Priyanka made her debut in a Tamil film, Thamizhan.

Did you know that her debut Hindi film was not meant to be either Raj Kanwar's Andaaz or Anil Sharma's The Hero? Before she signed those films, Priyanka had already said yes to K C Bokadia's Ek Haseena Ek Deewana, opposite Govinda. But the film remained incomplete.

Maybe the jodi was never meant to be. Priyanka was supposed to do another film with Govinda called Raja Bhaiya. She later walked out as the script was changed repeatedly and the actress was left with two songs and a couple of scenes.

Raja Bhaiya went on to become one of Govinda's worst flops.
