Coming from an army background, Priyanka was always known as a tomboy.

The Jamshedpur girl did her schooling in Lucknow's La Martiniere Girls College. After completing her Std X from Boston, she also studied in Maria Goretti College, Bareilly, for a short while. It was here that she had her first brush with beauty pageants when she won the Miss Bareilly contest.

Nicknamed Sunshine and Mimi, Priyanka aspired to become a software engineer or a criminal psychologist.

That was before she set her eyes on the world of glamour.
