It seemed like there would be a lull on the Mallika front, given that none of her films are due for release. But the lady has a way of attracting headlines.

First came a report that she had been approached by the original girlie magazine Playboy to pose in the nude for their centrespread. Her publicist Parul was quoted as saying: "Given her hot image in India and abroad, Mallika might well consider the offer, but due to her traditional Indian upbringing she is finding it difficult to sign on the dotted line."

That might have put a lid on the subject, but there was more!

It seems the indecent proposal was never really made. According to indiafm.com, Playboy vice-president Bill Farley claimed that the magazine had not even approached Mallika.
