Most people know that Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt are the closest friends in the film industry. The two have worked in five films so far: Annarth, Kaante, LoC-Kargil, Rudraksh and the yet-unreleased Dus. The duo have even started a company together called Shades, which deals in sunglasses.

Rakht is produced by Shetty's Popcorn Entertainment and is touted as Mahesh Manjrekar's biggest film so far. It is also produced by industrialist Vijay Mallya, who is making a foray into mainstream Bollywood production with Rakht.
