After Urmila Matondkar visited Pakistan to promote Pinjar and do a music video, quite a few films have opened in the country.

Paap had its world premiere at the third Kara Film Festival, held in Karachi, along with Mahesh Bhatt’s Zakhm.

In fact, most of the music in Paap has been scored by Pakistani artistes like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's nephew), and Ali Azmat of Junoon. Even the background score has been composed by Pakistanis Shehzad Shahi Hasan and Faisal Rafi.
