If Virumaandi is as successful as Thevar Magan, Kamal plans to remake the film in Hindi. For the first time in Tamil, Kamal Haasan will be releasing the DVDs shortly after the film’s US release to curb video piracy.

Virumaandi will be the first Tamil film to be premiered in the US and will be released in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
