Unlike Kareena's previous films, Subhash Ghai's Yaadein had designer Neeta Lulla and not regular Manish Malhotra doing her wardrobe.

Lulla says Kareena takes a lot of interest in her outfits, adding, "Kareena's outfits in Yaadein are trendy. Any young person would love to wear them. In the song Jab dil mile, the costume is quite simple but the colours are stark."
