Pritish Nandy Communications’ Chameli revolves around two characters: a prostitute and an investment banker.

Rahul Bose, the banker, is forced to spend a rainy night on the footpath with sex worker Chameli, played by Kareena Kapoor, who does not get any customers that night.

In spite of coming from two radically opposite social groups, the two gradually share a bond and experience each other’s trials and tribulations.

The film takes place in the course of one night.
