Tabu

Tabu had already established herself as a talented actress in films like Hu Tu Tu, Astitva and Maachis.

But with Madhur Bhandarkar's Chandni Bar, the actress scaled greater heights. As Mumtaz, Tabu played a bar dancer realistically and with great sensitivity. She won her second National Award (the first was for Maachis) for Chandni Bar.
