Sonu Nigam narrowly escaped an attempt on his life when a car bomb exploded just outside the premises of his peace concert in Karachi. The bomb killed one and injured six others, including two children.

The explosion occurred at 11pm when the car tried to overtake some vehicles at a security checkpoint before entering a parking lot.

This did not stop the concert. Sonu went ahead and performed with local singers Fareha Pervaiz and Amjad Sabri.
