This was probably the first or second time Dia met Flash [Dabboo’s boxer]. I wanted to shoot her with Flash for my calendar. Kids and animals are a bit difficult. Flash refused to go near her.

Several years ago, he had a skin infection and whenever I applied the ointment, he would lick it off. It wasn’t dangerous or anything, so I put some on Dia’s foot. She was okay with that. After every couple of frames, we would apply the ointment and Flash would go lick it off!

We shot about 40 pictures till we got one good shot.

Dia was never scared of Flash, but she said the picture was more Flash than her. She is wearing a tube dress. It was a part of the frame but the picture looked better without it.

I find very little similarity between her and Aishwarya, as some people like to think.

But Dia loves her hair. Once I told her to wear a brown wig. She was just totally against it.
