Debutant director Chandan Arora started as an editor on Varma's team, for such films as Mast, Jungle, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Road and Company. Chandan also won the Best Editing Award for Company at the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards.

In a recent interview to yahoo.com, Chandan had said, 'Ramu doesn't interfere with your creativity. He lets you be but at the same time is there whenever you need him. He never even came on my sets though he was completely involved in the whole process.'
