South Indian actress Revathy makes a comeback on the Hindi film circuit with Dhoop. Her last Hindi film was Priyadarshan's Muskurahat (1992).

Recently, her directorial debut Mitr: My Friend, was critically acclaimed. The bilingual film even won South Indian actress Shobana a National Award.

Dhoop sees the actress as a mother who mourns the loss of her only son.
