Ranbir (Ajay Devgan) is an architect at a Delhi firm, who hails from a very loving family.

Khushi (Rani Mukerji) is an orphan brought up by a group of North Indian singers who sing during wedding ceremonies. She is a carefree girl working as a hostess in a Delhi banquet hall. A con girl, she bluffs her way through everything.

Ranbir and Khushi bump into each other in Delhi. The two are thrown together into an unexpected adventure and strike a deal. While Khushi takes an instant liking to Ranbir, something holds Ranbir back.
