Actor Vivek Oberoi suffered a fractured leg due to an accident on the sets of his latest film, directed by Mani Ratnam, on July 16. The scene involved Oberoi running through some stationary vehicles with a motorcycle, ridden by a stuntman, chasing him. The stuntman was to be replaced by Ajay Devgan in the film. As Oberoi fell down, the motorcycle ran over his left leg.

The actor was immediately hospitalised and operated upon. Though the surgery was successful, Oberoi developed lung complications.

Doctors now say the actor is making ‘good progress’ but the injury will take three months to heal.
