Actor Vivek Oberoi, who underwent a surgery at the Hinduja hospital in Mumbai on Thursday, was moved to the Intensive Care Unit after he complained of pain late in the night.
Dr Sanjay Agarwala, the Orthopaedic surgeon who performed on Vivek's fractured leg, said the actor had been shifted to the ICU to keep him away from the steady flow of visitors and to ensure he was more comfortable. "There is no serious concern regarding his health," he said.
Vivek broke his left leg while shooting for a Mani Ratnam film in Kolkata on Wednesday. He was flown in to Mumbai of Thursday and taken straight to the hospital.
"Vivek is progressing well. Vivek has been cracking jokes and is in high spirits, doing fine. We expect him to stand up in a day or two with the help of crutches," Dr Agarwala said.
He said the actor complained of pain in the night and was given pain killers.
