Priyadarshan's Hungama is a comedy of deceptions and misunderstandings. Anjali (Rimi Sen) comes to Mumbai from her village, desperate for a job. She is in dire straits -- she either has to repay the loan taken from the village zamindar or marry Raja (Rajpal Yadav). She does not have enough money, so she agrees to share a flat with Nandu (Aftab Shivdasani), who has run away from home to become a singer. The two cannot stop bickering, but are forced to pretend they are husband and wife. When Anjali approaches the rich Radheysham Tiwari (Paresh Rawal) for a job, she meets Jeetu (Akshaye Khanna) an electrician working in his house. Jeetu, who thinks Anjali is Tiwari's daughter, promptly falls in love with her. Anjali, meanwhile, also tries for a job in Jeetu's electrical company. To this end, she frequently visits Tiwari's house, which leads to another problem. Mrs Tiwari thinks her husband is having an affair with Anjali. Tiwari also notices Jeetu's repeated visits to his home -- the besotted Jeetu is trying to woo Anjali -- and thinks his wife is having an affair with him. Nandu, who has also fallen in love with Anjali, tries to woo her. He feigns a relationship with their landlord´s wife to make her jealous. But this strategy backfires when the landlord's wife begins to take his antics seriously. Click here for some more Hungama!
