Behind the scenes, Apoorva's desert drama is mostly a family affair. Mother Kinnari Pannikar designed some of Lara Dutta's outfits; aunt Meera Lakhia worked as the production designer; cousin Aditya and uncle Snehal were part of the cast while cousin Ashish operated as Apoorva's assistant. Apoorva's younger brother Abhijeet did the storyboard and stepfather John Pannikar shot the movie stills.
