Present at the book launch were Shweta and her husband Nikhil Nanda; Abhishek's fiance, Karisma Kapoor; her parents Babita and Randhir Kapoor, poet Pushpa Bharati and politician Amar Singh.

At the happy occasion, Amitabh announced that Karisma was to be engaged to his son Abhishek. This makes it the second time a Bachchan was marrying into the Kapoor family -- daughter Shweta's husband Nikhil is Raj Kapoor's grandson.
