Lagaan to re-release in UK

Lagaan Oscar contender Lagaan is set to be re-released in the UK and will screen at cinemas throughout the country.

If Lagaan is as successful during its second run as it was earlier, it has a chance at becoming the most successful Bollywood blockbuster, beating the record set by Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Govinda croons in English

Govinda will soon croon in English. Chi-Chi has recently recorded a song in English for Manoj Agarwal's film Wah Tera Kya Kehna.

The song is called I Want Money. Govinda, we hear has not only sung for this film but has also given bulk dates so that shooting could be completed in just three months.

Shivani Tijori relaunches Nemesis

Deepak Tijori's wife Shivani Tijori, relaunced her fashion label Nemesis with a showing of her summer collection on Monday at Velocity, Mumbai's hippest nightclub.

Walking the ramp were model-turned-actress Helen Brodie and ex-Mr International Aryan Vaid. A smattering of Bollywood's personalities from choreographer Lubna Adams and actress Himani Shivpuri.

Saregama, Warner join hands

Saregama, one of India's largest music companies, has signed an agreement with Warner Home Video, a division of Warner Brothers, to market its video compact discs and digital video discs in India and Bangladesh.

The first lot of 10 titles will be released next week and the company estimates that sales will reach Rupees 200 million in the first year.
