Arjun tuns dad, wins award

Actor Arjun Rampal had a great start to 2002.

The Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat star just became the father of a beautiful baby girl on January 17. His daughter is to be named Maahika.

Arjun also walked away with the Best Male Newcomer trophy at the Star TV Screen Awards, defeating hot favourite Tusshar Kapoor.

Great going Arjun!

Lifetime Achievement Award for AB

600 women members of the Inner Wheel 314 club turned up to catch a glimpse Amitabh Bachchan who was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award at The Oberoi's Regal Room recently.

Between felicitation speeches and the actual presentation of the award, a retrospective audiovisual on the actor was screened.

While accepting the award, the actor thanked all the people who had helped him on his journey - from Hrishkesh Mukherjee, Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehta to Ramesh Sippy, Tinnu Anand, Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar.

For a good cause -- Maa Tujhhe Salaam

Director Tinu Verma and producer Mahendra Dhariwal hosted a special preview screening of Maa Tujhhe Salaam in New Delhi recently, to collect funds for the families of persons who lost their lives in the terrorist attack that rocked the Parliament recently.

The songs and action-packed promos were screened to a jampacked audience of more than 10,000 people. Arbaaz Khan, Sudesh Berry, Inder Kumar, Sharat Saxena, Mohan Joshi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh and Udit Narayan also performed live at the function.

Akshay-Twinkle celebrate a year of wedded bliss
