Tabu in M F Husain's next?
Artist M F Husain's second film after the Madhuri Dixit starrer, Gajagamini, will in all probability, have actress Tabu to playing the lead role. Husain has also roped in A R Rahman to compose the music to his film. The film will be shot in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Prayag and Jaisalmer. We hear that Husain is on the look out for one more heroine to play an important role in the film.
Jagjit Singh sets Vajpayee's verses to tune Noted singer Jagjit Singh will soon release his latest album based on the poems of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Mere Ekavan Kavitayen, a compilation of Vajpayee's verses will be put to tune by the ghazal maestro and will be released this February. It will contain eight tracks.
Dev Anand's new find
Dev Anand had found himself a new muse. His latest find is Ameesha Mukherjee who makes her film debut with Anand's Love In Time Square. Ameesha who still studies at Calcutta’s Rani Birla College has already signed up for another film with Yash Chopra.
Encyclopaedia on Satyajit Ray An encyclopaedia on the legendary director Satyajit Ray is being compiled by the Satyajit Ray Archive in Kolkata. The work will comprise separate chapters on Ray's forays into different fields like film, literature and graphics and would discover the hitherto unknown facts of the maestro's life. When the encyclopaedia hits stands later this year, it will be the second of its kind after the one on Charlie Chaplin. The project is a tribute to the maestro in his 80th birth anniversary.
