Mohanlal wows audiences!

Mohanlal Mohanlal, the great Malayalam film actor, wowed the audiences in Bombay with his solo performance in the production -- Karnabharam, which was staged at The Leela hotel.

The play was based on the life of Karna. The stupendous stage performance by the actor displayed his true skills as an entertainer and had spectators asking for more.

WTC and Love at Times Square

Dev Anand Terror Tuesday has Dev Anand in despair.

For he was to use the WTC towers as the backdrop for his film Love at Times Square. He was planning to shoot some of the most crucial scenes on the top storeys of the twin towers and had even obtained special permission from the federal authorities for the shoot.

The director will now probably shoot these scenes atop the Empire State Building.

Lagaan -- In Marathi?

Lagaan Ashutosh Gowariker, director of Lagaan, revealed that he had initially planned to produce the film in Marathi but changed his mind later after considering the film's budget.

He was addressing the Kholapur Press Club in Maharashtra. He added that the film's success was responsible for the several scripting and directing offers, he was receiving. He said that producers were now giving him the freedom to write his own scripts.

As audiences always responded well to films based on social messages laced with entertainment, he said his next effort would also stick with the same format.

Kajol's relatives robbed

In the space of six weeks, Kajol's father, Shomu Mukherjee, and her aunt, Shamita Mukherjee, were looted.

Over Rs 5 lakh, electronic goods and furniture are missing. The main suspect, Raj Kumar Gautam, is absconding.
