From Whitney to Bond!

A correspondent

Whitney Houston Whitney Houston has been signed up to star in the next James Bond film, opposite Pierce Brosnan.

The pop diva has already agreed to the project and will be meeting the widow of the famous Bond producer, Albert Broccoli, this week.

Dana Broccoli is chairman and main decision-maker of her late husband's company, Danjak. It was her decision that had Sean Connery playing James Bond. She had even signed up Timothy Dalton as the British secret agent. Now Broccoli is reportedly very keen to get Houston in the next Bond film.

Preliminary talks have taken place and both sides expect a deal to be struck soon, it is learnt.

Inside reports say that Whitney would make a fantastic Bond girl -- she is glamorous, talented and what's more, would make a perfect voice for the soundtrack. With this film, the 37-year-old singer joins the list of famous Bond girls like Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman, Joanna Lumley, Denise Richards, Sophie Marceau, Barbara Bach and Grace Jones.

Whitney had made her debut in the blockbuster, The Bodyguard, opposite Kevin Costner. Married to singer Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston is currently filming a pop video with The Backstreet Boys.
