    Director: B R Ishaara
    Co-star: Jaya Bhaduri

Ek Nazar 1972

The film: A musical shot in Pune, this was one of the first films that Jaya and Amitabh did together.

Aakash meets Shabnam, a singer and a diehard fan of his poems, and instantly falls in love with her. A bit of romance follows before Shabnam is arrested by the police, who suspect her of committing murder. When the date for trial is set, Aakash realises the case will be judged by none other than Shabnam's long lost father.

The film didn't do well, but the producers dubbed the pair as extremely lucky.

What they say: "Jaya was a gold medallist and extremely natural, while I was very awkward and clumsy. Ours was a rapport of give and take." (Amitabh Bachchan)
