Micromax launches Canvas Blaze smartphone @ Rs 11,000

Micromax on Wednesday launched dual SIM smartphone Canvas Blaze that includes one slot supporting MTS' CDMA network, for about Rs 11,000.

Canvas Blaze will have one sim slot that will work on 3G equivalent CDMA network of MTS and the other will support GSM sim which can work on network of telecom players like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular etc.

"Our new offering on 3G EVDO (a CDMA technology) with GSM dual SIM smartphone based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will help GSM consumers take advantage of the superior 3G EVDO network of MTS while retaining their GSM number," Micromax Co-founder Vikas Jain said in a statement.

MTS will provide buyers of Canvas Blaze with 2 GB of mobile internet usage, 1,000 minutes for MTS to MTS local calling and 120 minutes for other local and STD calls for initial period of six months.

"Canvas Blaze has been bundled with Free Data and Voice benefits for 6 months providing a complete package for the customers," MTS India's Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Leonid Musatov said.

Canvas Blaze, with a 5 inch screen size, is built on Android's Jelly Bean platform.

It comes with 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8 megapixel camera at back with flash and VGA front camera and expandable memory of up to 32 GB.

The phone supports Bluetooth version 2.0 and Wi-Fi as well.
