Where is the stock market going? Will it rise further? Or will it crash again? What should a small investor do in such a scenario? Should he hold on to his stocks or sell them? Should he buy stocks now or stay away from the market?

In an hour-long chat on rediff.com on Tuesday, market expert Madhusudan Sarda answered readers' queries. Here is the transcript:

basava asked, what is your view on Indian Hotels. Is it good for short to medium term.
Madhusudan Sarda answers, Hospitality industry is going to show a good upside in the coming phase,Indian hotels have good prospects in the same
hiteysh asked, hows the motilal oswal? If it opens at listing price then is it good to buy or not?
Madhusudan Sarda answers, Motilal Oswal IPO is good, Company has good aggresive Strategies to grow the business.

Madhusudan Sarda answers, fertilizer sector overall is good. But in such Volatile markets at wat level you enter also matter.

Madhusudan Sarda answers, Cipla has fallen more than 40 % in 4 moths, if compared with its peers the valuation of the company looks cheap, the management has given the guidance of 12% growth for Fy2008 and some aggressive capex plans along with new product in the pipeline should give good valuation to the company
Santosh asked, Hi, I have purchased 21 shares of L&T for average price of Rs. 2200/- I am wiling to add more for long term investment. Should i buy more at current price or wait for correction?
Madhusudan Sarda answers, L&T is a good Longterm buy, one can definitely add the stock as and when the markets correct,

Madhusudan Sarda answers, Holcim buying 20% stake in the company at 154 is good news for the stock, overall the sector seems to be good in the long term

Madhusudan Sarda answers, Globaly the Sentiments are wrong.there it will take time to stablize, But we can expect it to reach 16k level by end of this year. Only Liquidity is the major concern , Fundamentaly everthing is fine
