Tablets are one of the most rapidly adopted technologies in history,'' a new research has found.
According to a new research conducted by market research firm comScore in the United States has revealed that one in four smartphone owners used a tablet between February and April this year, an increase of 14 per cent over last year.
"Once consumers get their hands on their first tablet, they are using them for any number of media
habits," The Telegraph quoted Mark Donovan, Senior Vice President of Mobile at market research firm comScore, as saying.
The research showed that video is especially popular in tablets, with 10 percent of owners watching video every day on their device.
Wealthier households were also much more likely to have bought tablets, with three in five tablet users from families earning over 75,000 dollars per year.
The research revealed that women were slightly more likely to own tablets with almost 51 percent owning one.
