Reliance Info unveils 2 CDMA camera phones

Reliance Infocomm Ltd has introduced two code division multiple access 2000 1X camera phones -- GTRAN GCP 4020 from GTRAN Wireless Inc of the United States and Samsung SCH A603 from Samsung Electronics of South Korea -- in its repertoire of handset models.

Both the Java-enabled handsets can be used as modems to connect laptops and other computing devices to Internet and can also be used to access R-World suite of data applications on Reliance IndiaMobile network, a company release said in Mumbai on Tuesday.
 
The GTRAN GCP 4020 phone is available in two versions, with an external attachable camera and without the camera, and the models have initially been launched in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Both the handsets are available at Reliance IndiaMobile outlets and Reliance WebWorlds, it said.

Photo album with memory to save a maximum of 50 pictures, internal phonebook that can store upto 300 entries and PC Synch that synchronise scheduler, messages, ring tones and wallpapers with a PC are some of the features of the handset, it said.

The Samsung SCH A603 is a colour phone with rotating lens and screen folder for camera and with 260K TFT colour LCD and display of upto 10 lines of text, it supports both English and Hindi user interface and text input, the release added.
