Perot Systems, the Texas-based IT, BPO and consulting concern, will move more of its infrastructure services offerings work to its Indian centres.

According to Peter Altabef, president and CEO of the company, the centres in the country already work on five of these service offerings and another seven divisions will be moved to India within the next 15 months.

"Indian revenues made up around 8.5 per cent of our total turnover last year. India is an important part of our company's growth plans. Already around one-third of our workforce is based out of the country. We are scaling up and adding people in both our technology services and business process services. Both of these are based out of India. With all this activity, we definitely expect Indian revenues as a percentage of total revenues to grow significantly in the future," said Altabef.

He added that the company was actively looking for acquisitions globally, including India, to add to its client and resource base.

He was speaking on the sidelines of a press conference held to announce the company's first board meeting held in Bangalore. The company announced the official induction of Anuroop 'Tony' Singh as a member of the board along with the appointment of Padma Ravichandar as senior executive, India and APAC region and MD for Technology Services.

Perot Systems clocked revenues of $1.8 billion last fiscal. It has centres in Bangalore, Noida and Chennai. The Chennai centre works primarily in the business process area while the other centres concentrate on technology services.
