Nokia is bullish on India as the fastest growing wireless market has emerged as the third biggest location for the company in terms of sales.

"Asia-Pacific will contribute significantly to the new billion subscribers who are being connected daily. Both India and Indonesia are among the top 10 biggest markets for Nokia worldwide. India moved from the 4th spot to number 3 in 2006," Nokia Senior VP, customer market operations, APAC Urpu Karjalainen said in Bangkok after unveiling 'Showcase Nokia 2007' event.

Nokia enjoys a majority marketshare in India where six million phones are being added every month. The the company expects to cross three billion mobile subscribers mark in 2007, a year earlier than predicted, he said.

Meanwhile, Nokia launched six new models focused on removing barriers for widespread adoption of business. The phones are to be launched later in the year in India.

The company announced a trio of new Nokia Eseries devices, designed for business professionals, including 'Nokia E61i' emailer device and the 'Nokia E65' slider.

The company launched 'Nokia E90 Communicator' -- a legendary communicator with an all inclusive business device with advanced technologies, such as HSDPA (next version of 3G communications) and integrated GPS which will help a subscriber navigate through cities with directions.
